It looks very promising! I've been playing around with it a bit, and have successfully created a volume shadow copy. Now just trying to find a better way than dosdev.exe to map a drive letter to it.Jon and Judy Glickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07698091145830837621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4222197394079314848.post-65204736505651694762009-02-11T14:41:00.000-06:002009-02-11T14:41:00.000-06:00Any updates to this post?Any updates to this post?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4222197394079314848.post-48836252214802267702008-08-14T16:20:00.000-05:002008-08-14T16:20:00.000-05:00Thank you both, Saravanan and Woong bin Kang, for ...Thank you both, Saravanan and Woong bin Kang, for your comments. Just use vshadow.exe in MS VSS SDK with -el switch. It is also possible to use -er switch to expose the shadow copy as a network share.

Thanks for your post!wbkanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18419072227548513748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4222197394079314848.post-79821430725218069922007-12-05T20:27:00.000-06:002007-12-05T20:27:00.000-06:00Hi, If you are still looking for finding the list ...Hi,

If you are still looking for finding the list of files in a snapshot directory, the JDK 1.5 file API does work.

D:\>java finddir "\\\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1\SnapDir"

File Exists true

AUTOEXEC.BAT
boot.ini
CONFIG.SYS
console.txt
Install.exe
InstMsi.exe
InstMsiW.exe
IO.SYS
MSDOS.SYS
msizap.exe
Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13773249691580561971noreply@blogger.com
